Route: McRae, GA to Americus, GA (Fuller Center Headquarters, First Prebyterian Church, Church of Christ, etc...)
Distance: 90.1 miles
Other Stats: Gone because I accidentally erased my bike computer half way through - ooops! Anyway, we started at 7am and made it into Americus for our police escort through town by 4pm
Weather: Cool-ish and calm and cloudy and condensation-on-everything in the morning. Aaaaand... not so cool and calm later in the day (plus some good sunshine).
Highlights
- And just when we thought we couldn't possibly be offered a greater variety of delicious breakfast foods at 6am in the morning... the Methodist and Presbyterian churches in town completely blew us away. Amazing.
- Just for the record, today I officially biked farther than I have ever biked in a single day in my life. I'm pretty proud of myself.
- The 4-car police escort from Giggles (yummy ice cream place) to the Fuller Center office in Americus, GA along with a whole crew of Fuller Center supporters from the area... now if we could just figure out how to get them to come along with us and stop traffic and let us run stoplights the whole way we would really be cookin'! :-)
